For this Tutorial you will need any version of
PSP. The filters I am using are Kang 1's Ben-Wah airlines and VM Natural's Crossweave,
Simple Filters Pizza Slice Mirror and Quick Tile and, FM Tile Tools Blend Emboss.
Begin by opening up a new 400 x 400 transparent
image and flood fill this image with the mixed wall pattern you already have in your
patterns, Scale = 100% and Angle is O. I have colorized mine with these setting Hue = 146
and Saturation = 66. It is up to you what color you would like to use or leave it as is.
Next go to effects/ plugins/VM Natural/crossweave and use the settings below:

Next go to effects//filters/Kang 1/Ben-Wah
Airlines and apply the setting below:

I think that's pretty cool looking, don't you? For
future reference these settings can be changed to get some other really nice backgrounds
but, for now we will stick with these.
Now go to effects/Simple/pizza slice mirror. Now
you will need to resize your image, using the settings below:

Now go to effects/filters/Simple/Quick Tile and
click apply. Our final step is to go to FM Tile tools/Blend Emboss and use the default
settings. Save as and you are done.
Thanks for trying my Braided Rug Background Tut, I
hope it has inspired you to play with all those wonderful filters we are always
downloading.
